A Local Culinary & Botanical Gathering in Crete
This workshop brings together organic olive oil craftsmanship, wild Cretan greens and shared table culture at MaGea Creative Residence. Co-hosted with BIOLEA, the experience explores the connection between land, tradition and contemporary gastronomy.
The Experience
The day begins with a guided walk in the surrounding landscape to identify and forage seasonal wild greens (horta). Participants will learn how local flora has shaped Cretan cuisine for generations.
The workshop continues with an introduction to BIOLEA’s organic extra virgin olive oil, produced using traditional stone-mill methods in Astrikas, Crete.
A live cooking demonstration and guided tasting will explore how olive oil and wild ingredients come together in simple, refined dishes.
